ACCOMODATION:

       The city of Nanded, with more than one million pilgrims visiting it every year, has grossly inadequate hospitality infrastructure. PRAGYAA 2010’s accomodation is at Shahid Dera Baba Deepsinghji Dera Sachha Niwas near Angethi Hotel, Latur Road, Nanded. Girls accommodation is done in girls hostel in campus itself. So wait for a little while and be a part of PRAGYAA 2010 for a holistic travel experience in the city of the Tenth Guru but please ensure your reservation 15 days prior to your visit.

How to reach Nanded?

     Nanded is connected to all major cities by means of rail,road and air. Railways : Direct passenger trains are available to Nanded from Mumbai, Aurangabad , Hyderabad , Bangalore, Nagpur , Patna , Delhi , Pune and Amritsar . Nanded is one of the Divisional Headquarters of South Central Railway.

Roads :      Nanded is 650 kilometre east of Mumbai by road and about six-hour drive from Aurangabad and Hyderabad and 11-hour drive from Pune. Several passenger bus services operate from Nanded providing easy overnight connectivity with almost every major city in Maharashtra. These buses are reasonably priced and fairly punctual. The comfort level differs greatly from operator to operator.

     Nanded is now connected with the facility of Domestic airport it has three flights in a week for Bombay. The nearest international airport is Hyderabad (284 kilometre). Nanded airport is named as 'Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Airport'. The Kingfisher Airlines has started the first e commercial flight from Nanded airport operating between Mumbai-Nanded-Latur. The flight operates thrice a week viz Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The facilities available at airport include a huge terminal building to handle 300 passengers and a runway to handle big aircraft like Boeing 737s and Airbus 319-320. It also now has three parking bays for large aircraft, six check-in counters, plush passenger terminals, fuelling stations and all other passenger and flight operations facilities, including night operations. General Instructions:-

• Accommodation will be provided from 18:00 hrs on 4th of march, 2010 onwards. You will be required to vacate the room on or before 10:00 hrs on 7th march, 2010.

• Online registrations should be done compulsorily in order to get accommodation.

• Hospi-desks are arranged at railway station(in front of main gate) and bus stop(near inquiry centre) for the convenience of participants. The participant have to report at these desk where they will be informed about the further proceedings.

FAQs

•What should I do after coming to the campus?

      Participants should report at the registration desk where registrations are done & participants will be given I-cards.

•Shall I carry my id card with me?

      It is mandatory for all participants to carry college IDs. Moreover you will be asked to produce your college id cards at the time of registration.

•What about the canteen?

      For our very special guests and participants we set up a huge cafeteria serving a variety of cuisines satisfying the needs of every palate.

•What about the hospital facility?

     There is an institute Dispensary located in campus itself. In case you fall ill, you are advised to report to us at accommodation desk. We shall make appropriate ar rangements for you to be treated at the Institute hospital.

•What about the security facilities?

      SGGSIE&T campus has a vigilant and round-the-clock security service. To ensure the safety of the participants, there will be additional security guards in hostels in order to avoid thefts and other mishaps. Although Pragyaa team will not take responsibility of any theft or other mishaps. So participants are requested to take care of their luggage and other belongings.

•Are there ATMs inside the campus?

       There are SBI ATM inside the campus. There is also an SBI Bank just outside the campus.
