The Techno-Agricultural event Krishi-PRAGYAA 2010; reconsiders the fundamental
importance of agriculture and acts as a catalyst in revolutionizing the orthodox mindset of over 2000 farmers. Reformations of the attitudes and approaches of the food feeders is the sole aim behind this event. The principal vision of Krishi-PRAGYAA 2010 is, to uphold the central importance of the farmer and to empower him with the latest practically implementable technologies, various other advanced and modern mechanisms etc. It is also going to be an effort to impart engineering dimensions to the knowledge of students from agro colleges through a MULTI DIMENSIONAL SEMINAR including Live Demonstrations ,Expert Speeches ,Paper Presentations , Project Competition, Spot Events and a lot more surprises in store. As, good body language and confidence are going to be vital in each walks of life henceforth ,this year we are introducing a Personality Development Program for the agro students .So Krishi PRAGYAA 2010 is going to prove to be a complete package, beneficial for farmers as well as students.

Krishi PRAGYAA 2010 has come up with an overwhelming package for students interested in agro technology in form of an Innovative Student Workshop which includes the following events:-
1) Live Demonstrations:-
Krishi PRAGYAA 2010 aims to include live demonstrations based on Ground Water Harvesting, Tillage Operations, Sericulture, Measurement of precipitation etc. that would immensely help the agro students to utilize the available resources in more efficient manner and understand their in situ applications. Main focus is on practical display of modern techniques of farming. Such experiences are most useful to make dynamic changes in the approach and outlook of the youth.
2) Expert Talk:-
The event includes speeches by expert and prominent personalities that would provide more insight towards practical applications of modern agricultural techniques and also share their valuable experiences with the attendees. They would also deal with latest government schemes available for the farmers and various success stories and miracles in the field of agriculture.
3) Student competition:-
This event mainly aims to produce an all round development in a student via:-
i) Paper presentation and project competitions:-
Practical application of the acquired knowledge is very important. It is for this reason that Krishi PRAGYAA 2010 includes Paper Presentation and Project Competitions.
The topics for paper presentation are as under:-
Agrogenetics
Production of biofuel
Modern composting
Efficient grafting in plants
Role of internet in agriculture
Food processing
Climatic risk management in agriculture
Para agro techniques(like horticulture, sericulture etc.)
Water shed management
Topics for project competition are as under:-
Flood management
Agro waste management
Application of IT in agriculture
Fruit processing
Use of Ayurveda in medicines
Design of Ideal farm
Rain water harvesting
Para Agro techniques
And other agro related innovative projects
ii) Personality Development Program:-
A good body language and communication skills are going to prove to be extremely vital in all walks of life. So to make participants of Krishi PRAGYAA 2010 acquainted with managerial skills of handling a situation as well as manpower ,we have included a personality development program that will comprise of debates, spot events, art of living sessions, writing skills, extempore and many other events.

Rules:
General:
•Each team aspiring to take part in student workshop should consist of atleast 2 members. More than one team from each college is allowed.
•Each team should atleast present a paper OR a project. These abstracts should be posted on krishipragyaa2010@gmail.com before 25th february the latest.
•Limited entries allowed for student workshop. Teams with best abstracts will be chosen as a part of workshop.
•Student workshop fees:-Rs 300/-per participant. These will include lunch and accommodation for all the three days of the event.
•Exciting prizes worth Rs.10000 to be won
•Transportation facility will be made available for students from Nanded railway station/bus stand to desired destination
• Judges decision will be final and binding to all.
Eligibility:

Judging Criteria:
• Prizes will be awarded to projects and paper presentations on basis of authenticity and originality.
• Papers just copied or reprinted from any source will be disqualified.
• Judge’s decisions will be treated as final and bound to everyone.
